The US government and our armed forces faced a stark reality. Most of the silicon used for AI is manufactured in countries like China and Taiwan. That’s a huge problem— for national security reasons, let alone a precarious supply dynamic. The US desperately needs it’s own domestic supply of trustworthy silicon for AI. Enter Intel. With over 5 decades of silicon manufacturing here in America, and deep partnerships with our government and military, Intel can play a key role in manufacturing silicon for AI.

To tell our story, we tapped into Intel’s heritage as a badge brand to create a new outward symbol of our commitment to domestic AI Innovation: USAI. Then we created a campaign to get the word out to policy and decision makers in Washington DC and beyond. Including documentary style content, outdoor, digital, social, and a front page wrap and full page declaration of innovation for the Washington Post.

The results? Over 44M impressions and a 17 point lift in favorability. And an $8.9B investment in Intel by the US Government for silicon manufacturing right here at home.
